Seborrheic Dermatitis - Case Study. A common inflammatory skin condition causing flaky, white to yellowish scales to form on various parts of the skin.

Exact causes are unknown but there is evidence that hormonal imbalance, over production of skin oil and irritation from yeast called malessizia may be involved. Current allopathic treatments focus primarily on steroidal creams to suppress the immune response. There are no known cures for this condition.
